Tanner Critz

Unity Owner & Head Instructor of Cuong Nhu

Students appreciate the knowledge, rigor, and friendliness Sensei Tanner brings to martial arts training. He has studied martial arts for more than 30 years. Styles include Cuong Nhu (4th degree black belt), Tae Kwon Do (3rd degree black belt), Ninjitsu, Iaido, and Jujitsu. He began Cuong Nhu at the age of 10 in 1983, and favors its vast curriculum and its lively, close-knit community. Although he has a degree in Anthropology, he considers his most influential education hiking all 2,168 miles of the Appalachian Trail (read his account). During his six-month hike, he learned that it’s worth taking risks to do what you love—for instance, teaching martial arts full-time.

Head Instructor, Yoga, Kempo, Jujitsu

Sensei Ming Fung is madly passionate about the martial arts. She is a Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Cuong Nhu, a Shodan (1st degree black belt) in Ryukyu Kempo, and she is training in Jujitsu and Judo. She uses Ashtanga Yoga to recharge her body and mind and has studied under yogis in Mysore, India. Ming and her pug, Shorty, recently moved to Little Rock from Atlanta, Georgia.
